Stop googling it at 2am

Nothing you find at 2am is information. It's fuel. Your anxious brain isn't researching — it's collecting evidence for a verdict it already reached: something is wrong with me.

Auntie truth: the search bar is not a coping skill. It feels like doing something. It's actually the anxiety doing you.

So here's the deal. Phone goes face down. You are not allowed to solve your life tonight — that's a daytime job, and 2am you is not qualified. Your only job now is boring: slow breath out, feet on the floor if you need them, back to bed.

Whatever it is will still be there tomorrow, when the version of you who can actually handle it clocks in. And if it keeps being there, morning after morning? That's not a search engine job either — that's a talk-to-someone job. Your GP, a counsellor, a person with a face.
